Royal Docks Creative Network
New professional network for Royal Docks creatives – Join now!
Are you a creative professional or organisation based in the Royal Docks? The Royal Docks Team invites you to join a new network to meet peers, explore collaboration opportunities, share ideas, and help shape the area’s creative future.
⭐️ Our Beginnings
In 2021, we launched the Royal Docks Cultural Placemaking Strategy with the ambition to make the Royal Docks London’s Cultural Engine – a hub for artists, cultural organisations, and creative professionals where innovative ideas thrive.
The network was shaped by an 8-month pilot in 2022, involving participants from a mix of creative practices, cultural identities, neighbourhoods, and organisation sizes. This pilot ensured the network reflects and meets the needs of the local creative community.
🤝 Network Activities
- Quarterly meetings and regular socials to connect
local creative professionals.
- Opportunities to work with the Royal Docks Team to
develop the area’s creative ecosystem.
- Support for the cultural ecosystem to enrich local
creative life.
🌏 Building a Creative Ecosystem
Our aim is a thriving cultural scene that continues beyond the Enterprise Zone. The network fosters:
- Strong connections between local creatives, organisations, and businesses.
- Opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and skills development.
- Support for young people with transferable skills and agency in the creative sector.
Mechanisms established in 2022 include: Creative Connectors group, Creative Network, and Programme Panel,
involving residents, local creatives, and specialist artists in programme development.
